January is Stewardship Month!

Dear Sisters in Christ,

As we joyfully begin a new year, we are excited to share that January is Stewardship Month for the St. Luke Ladies Philoptochos Society for 2026. Stewardship is at the heart of who we are—it is through your generosity and faith-filled support that we are able to carry out our philanthropic, spiritual, and charitable ministries in service to our parish and community.

We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. Your stewardship makes a meaningful difference, allowing Philoptochos to live out our mission of faith in action and to respond with love to those in need. Because of you, we are able to serve, uplift, and make an impact throughout the year.

We kindly ask all members to submit their 2026 stewardship donation through our website, as online giving is our preferred method. It is safer, more efficient, and helps ensure accurate processing and recordkeeping. While submitting your donation, you may also choose the auto-renew option, which will conveniently renew your stewardship each year going forward.

Please note that due to a website processing issue, members who previously selected auto-renew will need to reselect this option for 2026. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Once reselected, your stewardship will automatically renew in future years.

This year, our goal is to have all stewardship donations received by the end of the first quarter, allowing us to plan our ministries and philanthropic efforts with confidence and purpose as the year unfolds.

For those who prefer to submit payment by check, members of the Philoptochos Board will be available during coffee hour throughout the month of January to accept stewardship donations in person.

Rise Against Hunger!

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger‑relief organization that coordinates food distribution and other life‑saving aid around the world, with the goal of ending hunger by 2030. Our Philoptochos, together with other Chapters across the Delaware Valley, participates in this effort each year by hosting a Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event supported by many volunteers.

Our fundraisers throughout the year, along with contributions from the other chapters, cover the cost of the food we package. The meals are dehydrated, high‑protein, and highly nutritious, and they are delivered to those who need them most—school feeding programs, people in crisis situations, orphanages, and communities in developing countries.

These meal‑packaging events are fun, meaningful, and rewarding for everyone involved.
